My name is Samantha Kelley and I am from Whitehall, Ohio.
I have a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in journalism.
My interest in Dick Powell started when I first saw 42nd Street. I liked that he was a nice guy who got the girl, uncommon in today's Hollywood movies.
Dick's talent became evident when I saw Murder, My Sweet; I was absolutely astonished that the same man did musicals.
Here, my project became clear, to reintroduce the important and interesting life of Dick Powell to a world that has forgotten him.
This website was created during the summer of 2008 to reach out to Dick Powell fans across the globe and to gather and organize information for a future biography.
